Costs and charges

The costs that are charged to you are (obviously) dependent on the kind of care we provide and on the expertise demanded of our home care workers.
However, you need not always pay the full amount of the care yourself.

We provide private home care at competitive prices.

In a number of cases the costs you have to pay may qualify for reimbursement.

  • Costs and rates
Care in kind. Everybody who is a legitimate resident of the Netherlands is entitled to care in case of long term illness, a disability or old age under the Exceptional Medical Expenses Act (AWBZ). Thuiszorg De Lage Landen can directly provide the home care you need. We settle the costs with AWBZ. You need not pay or advance anything, you only have to pay your statuary contribution. When you have an indication for home care that will be compensated by virtue of AWBZ and you wish to have care for at least three continuous hours, we can arrange this care for you. When we provide AWBZ care we closely cooperate with Interzorg Thuiszorg. For more information you can also go to: interzorgthuiszorg.nl
  • Client-linked Budget (PGB)
A PGB is a sum of money that you can use to purchase desired care yourself and to gear this care to your personal situation. PGB is a compensation for care under the Exceptional Medical Expenses Act (AWBZ). For information on PGB you can go to the following websites: persaldo.nl and pgb.nl
  • Taxes
In special cases the costs are tax-deductible. For more information see the ‘extraordinary expenditure’ leaflet issued by the tax authorities or go to belastingdienst.nl
